After a long wait and giving way to the PIDC 2013 event, we finally had this get together. Apparently 45% of S3P members participated in this event. We had Patintero, Pinoy Henyo, Cheering Challenge, etc. Although we (my group) did not win any, we all enjoyed the event. Kudos! to Mr. Yeng Regidor & Ms. Kutz Sape, and the rest of the S3P admins for organising this wonderful get together.

I was invited as one of the official photographers during this event which is called Philippine Indepence Day Commencement 2013. As every Singapore-based photography group has their own selected members to participate in this particular occasion.

S3P organised one photoshoot as inspired by one of their favorite photographer and post-processing idol, Emily Soto. The theme used was to portray Pocahontas living in a forest. I was quite new to the group and I don’t actually know what Emily Soto effect is. Anyway I tried my best to capture photos suitable for this theme.
To celebrate this year’s May 1 Labour Day, S3P formulated a challenge among its members that signifies its meaning. Many of them used their handphones as some never brought their DSLRs around. Luckily I brought my D7000 & 35mm. We went to Pulau Ubin to check on things to capture for this challenge. We had biking adventures in Pulau Ubin and roamed the mangroves. My brother invited me for a shoot in Marina Bay to cover their Paperworkz Theme. I used my well-trusted 85mm f/1.8G lens and D7000 for this shoot.
S3P organised this shoot called Glamour Fashion Theme to portray a city girl lounging in one of the tourists spot in Singapore, Clarke Quay. There were maximum 20 photographers, both amateur and professional, who participated in this shoot.
S3P organised a shoot called Fairy Theme Shoot, portraying a fairy lost in the woods (i mean somewhere in the park). This is my first time to join a theme shoot together with S3P. There were around 20 photographers who participated in this shoot.
