Trying Out Film Emulation

It has been a while since I haven’t post-processed any Portrait Shots. It came to my attention that a few of my colleagues are into Film Photography and I realised why wouldn’t I try it in Film Emulation.

I have searched through some of the Lightroom Presets on the Web. I am so lucky that I found a few from Presets.me and find it very useful.

Streeting with My New Lumia 1020

I was so happy to acquire this new imaging beast which I believe so far is the best camera-phone that exists in the world. I invited Rhoel to do some street shots in Haji Lane, Singapore and here are some of the photos which I took: Continue reading Streeting with My New Lumia 1020

Pulau Ubin with Joel

We actually organised a landscape shoot in Pulau Ubin and nobody seemed enthusiastic about joining in as the place is quite far from everybody’s house. Lucky is that I and Joel are both near to Changi area.

We left Changi  Ferry Terminal at around 5:30PM and reached the island for about 15 minutes via bumboat.  Continue reading Pulau Ubin with Joel

Not so Interesting Seascape Shoot in Sembawang Beach

I was just so curious about what to shoot in Sembawang Beach. If someone says a word beach, one thing crosses my mind that it would be a perfect idea to shoot seascapes/landscapes.

To my surprise, when I arrived in the place, I saw gigantic heavy equipment and cargo ships on the sea. I really had no choice but to get as much photos as I could even if I was not that really enthusiastic about taking photos of heavy equipment and cargo ships.

Meeting New Friends for Cityscape (Ghim Moh)

I had the chance to meet the famous Joel Jacla and Rey Manzanares as we all gathered to do a cityscape somewhere Ghim Moh World near Buona Vista. They are quite fun loving people who really like to take cityscapes.

After taking some sunset shots in Ghim Moh Estate, we then headed to Star Vista Mall to take some more of night cityscapes of Vista Exhange Green. Some locals joined us as well and the shoot turn out well. Continue reading Meeting New Friends for Cityscape (Ghim Moh)

Sunset in Upper Seletar Reservoir

I was very excited to get out from work on a Saturday to take some sunset pictures. Since that was my first time in Upper Seletar, I nearly lost my way getting through there. I took a very long bus trip coming all the way from Kranji. Though I haven’t been in that place, I wasn’t sure of the exacts spots that I should be taking. I will be back in this place soon for re-takes. Continue reading Sunset in Upper Seletar Reservoir

Marina View from One Fullerton

Last week I asked one nice blogger Dominic on how was he able to get a picture of Marina Bay from Fullerton Bay Hotel. He gave me few tips how to get there. So last Tuesday October 1, I decided to get my gears out and snap the lovely scene. Although, I couldn’t wait for the light show, I just snapped away the Blue Hour. You can find Dominic’s version at his blog postContinue reading Marina View from One Fullerton

Punggol End Beach (revisited)

I just decided to take another beach sunset and blue hour photos, and this time it was at the Punggol Rd End. The last time I went here was 2 years ago. As usual, this was taken with my well-trusted Nikon D7000 and Tokina 11-16mm. Although, the tide was low and waves are minimal, I was still able to capture decent sunset and nightscape photos.
