Lower Peirce Reservoir Revisit (with friends)

So we decided to visit Lower Peirce Reservoir as most of my colleagues were saying that was their first time to see the place despite the fact that they have stayed in Singapore for quite long time already. The weather was fine, however, unexpectedly there was a big cloud obstructing the sun from its usual place of plummet. Of course, we were all disappointed.

Quick Snapshot in Chinatown

It just happened that I passed by Chinatown last Wednesday and I remember that S3P is having some sort of photo contest which theme is regarding Celebration. I was also really curious what really to expect in Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. It was my first time to be there. Although, they strictly forbid people from taking photos inside the temple, thus the exterior is actually quite stunning.  I am now actually planning to take architectural photos soon. Well, since this particular month they are celebrating the Seventh Lunar Month or Hungry Ghost Festival, they actually placed around the temple some offerings for the unseen beings. They have believed that giving something like food to them, the ghosts will not bother or will not bring jinx to people.

Melaka Trip 2013 (Day 1)

To make my long holiday a fruitful vacation, we went to Melaka, Malaysia to do some photo ops. We focused more on Jonker Walk Street and tried each foods which we saw. 

Arab Street Photowalk

Red Eye sent me a message just this afternoon if I could join for a street shoot. Since I still have no experience taking pictures in Arab Street and Little India, I agreed. Rhoel joined as well while I & Red Eye just finished taking some streets pictures in Arab Street. Some people really don’t like their pictures being taken. Well, on the other hand, some are happy when someone takes his picture. One lady actually yelled at me and asked why I was taking her pictures secretly, as if I did it in a “pervert”-way.

Japanese School Girl Shoot May-13

S3P organised a shoot which theme portrays a Japanese School Girl lounging around Bedok Reservoir. It was a fun shoot though as the model herself was so very cooperative.

Pocahontas Theme Photoshoot May-13

S3P organised one photoshoot as inspired by one of their favorite photographer and post-processing idol, Emily Soto. The theme used was to portray Pocahontas living in a forest. I was quite new to the group and I don’t actually know what Emily Soto effect is. Anyway I tried my best to capture photos suitable for this theme.

Glamour High Fashion Shoot Apr-13

S3P organised this shoot called Glamour Fashion Theme to portray a city girl lounging in one of the tourists spot in Singapore, Clarke Quay. There were maximum 20 photographers, both amateur and professional, who participated in this shoot.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2013

Well since I got no appointments and it was my birthday, we decided to book tickets for this event called Tokyo Auto Salon 2013. This event was held in Singapore Marina Bay Sands EXPO and Convention Centre. There were a lot of cars, modified and dressed up, showcased in the event. Many participants showcased their versions of Nissan GT-R (well we saw a lot of this car). A popular J-Pop group was there too, although I was not able to take some nice photos of them since a lot of photographers, both local and foreigners, swarmed the place, and I wasn’t able to get enough room to frame them.

Fairy Theme Shoot Apr-13

S3P organised a shoot called Fairy Theme Shoot, portraying a fairy lost in the woods (i mean somewhere in the park). This is my first time to join a theme shoot together with S3P. There were around 20 photographers who participated in this shoot.
